Minister Danail Papazov ordered an unannounced check on the passenger transportation on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast 02.08.2013

Under orders by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Danail Papzov, Executive Agency “Automobile Administration” has initiated an unannounced inspection on passenger transport by taxi and bus across the Black Sea Coast. The campaign started yesterday (August 1st) evening and is ongoing. Its aim is to strengthen the prevention and control for passengers during the summer tourist season.

In only six hours the Automobile Administration inspectors checked 236 taxi cabs and compiled 40 tickets. They identified documentary violations, technical defects and drivers without valid psychological checks.

Furthermore, 70 buses were inspected and 10 tickets were issued for misuse of technograph equipment, driving time and rest period violations as well as documentary violations.

By the end of the season, several similar checks will be carried out across the Bulgarian Black Seas Coastline.
