Network services in the field of railway transport were presented today at a round-table talk. The software solutions and applications have been developed under the project "Improving services for citizens and businesses through e-government development in the field of spatial data and services at the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications". It is implemented with the financial support of Operational Programme "Administrative Capacity", which is co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund under Contract № K 10-31-2 of September 7, 2010.

The implementation and the upcoming reporting of the successful completion of this project is part of the policy of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications both in the field of e-government and in the field of spatial data. This was stated by the Secretary General Ivan Markov at the opening of the forum. In his words the developed network services and applications will enable integration and maximum use of the available spatial data for the railway infrastructure. "It is extremely important not only for consumers but also for the implementation of the country's commitments related to the Spatial Data Directive", he added.

Over 80 representatives of ministries, agencies and companies in the field of information and communication technologies have participated in the round-table talk.
