Large size

Citizens who are entitled to energy allowances for the 2012-2013 heating season can obtain a voucher for a digital television decoder by 30 October 2013. Local offices of the Social Assistance Agency, "Bulgarian Posts" EAD and the equipment dealers who have won contracts to supply free devices have organized it in the whole country. All those eligible have the opportunity to obtain a decoder before the final shutdown of the analogue terrestrial TV signal – 30 September 2013. The expiry date of vouchers is 30 November 2013.

Companies that have won the public procurement for the supply of decoders are required to inform the public about the mechanism which will be used in delivering the devices in villages where there are no retail outlets. Alternative ways are online sale, delivery to the home address or the local social services.

A voucher, which was issued in one area of the country, can be used in another city or village, to obtain a decoder, if the provider has won tenders in both areas.

The difference between the nominal value of the voucher of 60 lev and the price of decoders reached under the public procurement shall be returned to the state budget. There is a possibility for an extra charge above the price at which units are offered. There is a field space on the back of the voucher where the employee at the retail outlet can enter the actual price paid for the relevant devices.
