Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov and John Atanasov - son put into circulation illustrated postcards on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of of the birth of the "father of the computer" John Atanasov.

Bulgarian Posts have issued for a second time a post stamp dedicated to the creator of the prototype of the modern computer, said Deputy Minister Todorov at the ceremony. The first one was printed on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the scientist. Today's collectible illustrated card is issued in a circulation of 693 pieces. The artist of the project is Karina Dragolova.

As part of the celebration of the anniversary of John Atanasov a sitting museum dedicated to the life and work of the mathematician with Bulgarian origin was opened at Executive Agency " Electronic Communication Networks and Information Systems". John Atanasov Jr. gave the Deputy Minister Georgi Todorov objects that belonged to the inventor. Among them are John Atanasov’s abacus, and family photos. They will remain in the museum of the Executive Agency.
