The border-crossing problems of the carriers were discussed at a Bulgarian-Turkish meeting in Istanbul on road transport. The Bulgarian delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Anton Ginev, and Turkish delegation by the Deputy Undersecretary of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Talat Aydin.

The Bulgarian representatives pointed out in detail the issues faced by our carriers at the territory of Turkey. The opinion of our delegation is that the requirements of the Turkish control bodies are not in accordance with the provisions of international treaties to which both countries are parties.

During the meeting, the two sides expressed willingness to resolve the issues in the interest of the economy and the carriers of both countries.

More information about the requirements of the Turkish side, which were explained during the discussion, are posted on the website of the Executive Agency “Automobile Administration”.
