The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Georgi Todorov, visited the Exchange-Sorting center of "Bulgarian Posts" Ltd in Burgas to check whether they are prepared to process the letters and packages for the upcoming holidays.

The management of the center reported that as a result of relocation of activities in a new, larger building, better opportunities for delivery and unloading of mail are created. Shipments are processed by containers, allowing a more efficient organization of the operational process.

For the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, and increase in traffic of letters and parcels in the area are expected. Residents of the city and the region will send/recieve around 190,000 letters, 25,000 parcels and 4,000 courier shipments.

A renovated post office 8011 is located in the building of the Exchange-Sorting center, where better conditions for both customers and employees of Post were created. About 40 000 people reside at the area of the station.

The center handles correspondence and parcels of the Burgas Regional Post Office, which had 1.3 million lev profit in 2012
