In a month 264 post offices will offer the services of the Bulgarian lottery. This was announced by the Deputy Minster of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Georgi Todorov, following the signing of a cooperation contract between the two enterprises. It was signed by the executive directors of Bulgarian Posts and the Bulgarian lottery, Valentin Petkov and Belcho Ivanov. The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Yordan Yovchev, and representatives of the two companies among others attended the event.
The lottery forms will be handled at terminals installed at the Bulgarian Posts offices. According to Deputy Minister Todorov apart from registering the forms, the offices will pay prizes below 200 levs. More than 500 employees of Bulgarian Posts will be trained in handling the lottery forms.
Introducing new services is part of the programme for financial rehabilitations of Bulgarian Posts, claimed Georgi Todorov. He reminded that in 2013 the government provided 9.5 million levs to the company. The funds cover part of the compensation for 2011 for the delivery of letters and parcels in economically unfavourable regions.
The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Yordan Yovchev claimed that the contract will have a positive financial effect on the Bulgarian lottery by increasing the sale of forms, as well as on the posts that will benefit from the sale on commission from the activity. |
