The first Bulgarian ship along the line Varna – Caucasus will depart 23.01.2014
Large size

The first Bulgarian ship along the line Varna-Caucasus successfully completed its test cruise outside the water area of the port of Varna. The purpose of the test was to determine the condition and the maneuverability of the vessel. After successful running trials the ship is expected to officially take his first trip on the line Varna - Caucasus.

The new "Varna" ferry is owned by maritime operator “Varnaferry” Ltd., where "Bulgarian Maritime Fleet "(BMF) and "Bulgarian River Shipping" (BRS) have equal shares. At the end of last year, "Holding BDZ", "BDZ - Freight services" and "Varnaferry" Ltd. signed a text of an addendum to the main agreement, agreed by the Russian side, for the operation of the ferry line Varna - Caucasus, where "Varnaferry" Ltd. is recognized as an operator on the Bulgarian side in the marine section of Varna - Caucasus. The cargo turnover of Varna Port is expected to increase significantly following the introduction of the Bulgarian ship on the line.
