Today the Deputy-Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov opened the first separate office of “Bulgarian posts” EAD for courier services - “Bulpost” in Sofia. “This is one of the biggest projects on the implementation of the program for financial stability of the state operator”, said the Deputy-Minister during the ceremony. He added that two more offices are opening today in Varna and Burgas and within weeks “Bulpost” will have separate offices in several regional towns.
Georgi Todorov said that the aim is for “Bulgarian posts” EAD to regain its positions in this perspective segment by setting up a competitive division of courier services with efficient organization of work in compliance with the standards and requirements of the market. In his words the development program of Bulpost envisages growth in revenue from courier services by 14% compared to 2013.
Young people who apply for foreign universities will receive 15% discount on courier service, announced Rumyana Petrova, a member of the Board of Directors of Bulgarian Posts, during the opening. She said that at the moment the courier services of the company are available in 175 cities across the country, as well as to 92 countries worldwide.
The opening of the office of "BULPOST" in Sofia was attended by the Deputy Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Svilenski and the Deputy Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Transport, Transport Infrastructure and Traffic Safety to the Sofia Municipal Council Kaloyan Pargov. |
