The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Danail Papazov took part in Aviation Summit 2014 and the Ministerial Summit on Aviation of the countries of the European Union and ASEAN, 9 to 12 February 2014, in Singapore. During the official visit a bilateral meeting between Minister Danail Papazov and the Minister of Transport of Singapore Lui Tuk Iu is to take place.
The forum is of great importance for the approximation of aviation markets and the strengthening of cooperation between the Member States of the European Union and the countries of Southeast Asia under the Civil Aviation Act.
Senior representatives of governments, transport ministers, national supervisory authorities, airlines and leading industrialists in the aviation sector are participating in the Aviation Summit 2014. Participants exchange views on a wide range of issues affecting the development of civil aviation. The growth and sustainability of commercial air transportation will be discussed. Among the key issues are the role of governments in the development of friendly aviation environment, future ideas and opportunities for the aviation industry, particularly in terms of growth in emerging markets and the current challenges the commercial aviation environment faces.
The Ministerial Summit on aviation between the EU and member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations - ASEAN (the so-called EU-ASEAN Aviation Summit) aims at stimulating policy dialogue and aviation cooperation between the two regions. The agenda includes topics of regional single aviation market, global trends in aviation, aviation safety and security, air traffic management, airport management and new technologies.
Leading aviation organizations, heads of airlines, airport operators, air navigation service providers and other partners having relevant experience and long-term plans for the development of inter-regional aviation market integration with the possibility and potential benefits of strengthening aviation cooperation between the European Union and the countries of ASEAN, will participate. |
