A virtual platform between ICT clusters in the Black Sea region will be established to support contacts and joint projects of the local companies, said the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Petar Kirov, at the opening of the international conference “ICT Clusters collaboration for growth, prosperity and competitiveness of the Black Sea region”.
Petar Kirov pointed out that information technologies are among the most dynamically developing sectors of the economies of the Black Sea countries, while most of the IT companies are small and medium enterprises with limited resources. Петър Киров посочи, че информационните технологии са сред най-динамично развиващите се сектори на икономиките на държавите около Черно море, а в същото време повечето компании са малки и средни предприятия с ограничени ресурси. In his words, among the tools for supporting IT business are the programs for the development of regional clusters, thus stimulating innovation, access to wider markets, infrastructure as well as exchange of knowledge.
The Deputy Secretary General of the BSEC Trian Chebeleu said in his opening speech that promoting cooperation between companies is one of the priorities of the regional structure.
This forum is organized jointly by the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications and the Bulgarian ICT Clusters within the Bulgarian presidency of the Organization of the Black Sea Cooperation. Experts form the EC, ICT Clusters from Serbia, Macedonia, Turkey and Bulgaria will participate in the discussions that will continue tomorrow. |
