Bulgaria participates actively in the work on individual legislative initiatives of the European Commission, as the positions it defends are in accordance with the opinions of the operators and the branch organizations in the sector. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov at the opening of the Conference of the Telecommunications Association on "Horizon 2020". He added that last year the legislative initiatives of the European Commission set to a test the Member States in finding the right balance between the ambitious plans for changes, preserving the good functioning relationships between market participants and the reporting of the national characteristics.

In order to support the development of telecommunications in a sustainable way investments are needed in tomorrow's sources of growth, highlighted Georgi Todorov. In his words, the e-Government applications we use every day on our mobile devices and the new digital services transform our lives, strengthen the community and improve competitiveness. All this depends on the broadband access network, added the Deputy Minister.
