Having passed the critical point, we expect the ship to be fully upright by tomorrow, said the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Danail Papazov during the inspection of the actions taken by the "Port of Varna" EAD and the Executive Agency "Maritime Administration" to stabilize the distressed vessel.

“Yesterday the ship was tilted at about 35 degrees, and today – about 25, as it continues to be pulled upright", said Minister Papazov. The institutions have reacted adequately to the situation and have taken all measures to tackle the crisis. "I have ordered the inspection on the cause of the accident and the technical condition of the ship", added Danail Papazov.

The ship "Mohammed H", sailing under Moldovan flag, tilted sharply toward the pier on Sunday (May 11) during loading sodium. The crew was evacuated to the mainland. There are floating booms around the vessel and oil skimmers are in readiness in the region of Varna-West so as to avoid spills.
