Over 6000 employees and 185 organizations in the aviation sector can submit electronic applications for licenses, certificates and approvals, said the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov at a press conference presenting the results of a project of the Directorate General "Civil Aviation Administration" (CAA).

Currently, almost all of these users have to visit at least twice the administration premises in Sofia to submit paper applications and to receive the issued documents needed to perform their duties, said Georgi Todorov. He added that filing documents electronically will save time and costs for both the industry and the administration.

An integrated information and communication system was established within the framework of the project and it will provide more than half the administrative services of CAA electronically.
