The first cargo train passed today through the bridge "New Europe" at Vidin-Calafat. The starting point is Shopron Hatar, Hungary, and the final stop - Sindos, Greece.

The loading composition consists of 15 wagons loaded with 145 container groupage freight. On Romanian territory the carrier is "Cargo Trans Vagon", and on Bulgarian territory the operator is "BDZ Cargo services". The train passes transit through our country. It arrived this morning at Station Vidin-Cargo and after document and freight processing it continues in the direction of Kulata-Promahon.

The second freight train is expected to pass through the bridge by the end of this week.

BDZ - Cargo has received more requests and there are ongoing discussions with customers on the transportation of various types of cargos - propane gas, butan gas, nitrogen fertilizers, wood materials and others.

The commissioning of the railway traffic across  "New Europe" bridge is the result of the coordinated actions by Bulgaria and Romania, as of May 10 a regular passenger traintravels between Vidin and Golentsi.
