MTITC presents the opportunities for the Bulgarian communication organizations to apply for European financing of some 74 million euros in 2014 11.06.2014

The financing of digital services and broadband infrastructures amounts to over 74 million euros for 2014 under Connecting Europe Facility (2014-2020). The working program for 2014 was presented by experts from the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications at the information day for Bulgarian companies and organizations.

Currently applying with projects for the expansion of the project on Pan-European Digital Library (Europeana) Project is possible. The portal provides online multilingual access to digital content, which is arranged in public and private libraries, archives, museums and collections. The second competition is open for developments related to safety of children on the Internet (Safer Internet). The aim is to create access to safe and children-friendly content as well as to establish data base in support of hotlines. The total amounts of the funds in the two Lots is 18,6 million euros.

Competitions for projects on open data (access to statistical information), electronic identification, cyber security and automated translation between languages are to be initiated in 2014.
