Earlier in the day the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Transport of Romania, Iulian Matache, informed the Deputy Minister Anton Ginev that the Romanian side is ready to help with staff and equipment, if necessary.

The equipment of SE "Transport Construction and Rehabilitation" is in full readiness while maintaining coordination with local authorities. The emergency teams of SE "Communications Construction and Rehabilitation" have dug tunnels for easy drainage of water from the lake to "Garden" Campsite in the sea in order to avoid flooding of the hotels in the region. The machinery of the company is fully prepared to be deployed in other critical areas. Varna Airport has provided pumps used for draining Asparouhovo neighborhood. Varna Port has also sent equipment and manpower in the residential neighborhood.

"Bulgarian Posts" EAD is ready to provide 15 beds for the homeless people in its resort in Ahtopol and another 10 beds in the holiday resort "Sunny Day" for a month. The management of "Bulgarian Posts" has informed the Bulgarian Red Cross that it can transport aid materials free of charge to the victims.

Executive Agency "Electronic Communication Networks and Information Systems" is ready to provide repair and restoration groups to work on the affected communications infrastructure.

Due to the constantly changing situation the rescue teams of National Railway Infrastructure Company are in constant readiness for emergency actions in the affected places. The company is ready for coordinated action together with Civil Protection teams to help the distressed people and places.

Gradually the normal functioning of the transport system in the country is being restored. Currently there are difficulties with the bus traffic in Varna and Dobrich. The State Automobile Inspection’s employees work in constant interaction with the Traffic Police to restore the normal situation.

The movement of trains has not been restored yet in the area between the stations Tsareva Livada and Gabrovo, because of fallen rocks. The passengers traveling in this area are being transported by buses. There are difficulties with the transportation of passengers by buses in the area of the stations Dabovo - Tryavna – Dabovo because of mud slides on the road. Passengers are being transported by buses because of the repair works carried out by National Railway Infrastructure Company on the railway track in the section between the stations of Plachkovtsi and Raduntsi. At this point the situation in the other parts of the country is normalized and trains travel unimpeded.

The ports of Burgas and Varna are functioning well, as the sea-lake channel in Varna is closed for vessels. At the moment Executive Agency "Maritime Administration" with the aid of two vessels is checking the channel for fallen cars washed away by floods and has secured it. Currently there are no difficulties in flight operations in the country.
