Young Bulgarians can participate in an International Competition for technological projects for managing effects of natural disasters 01.07.2014

The International Telecommunications Union launched the annual competition for projects designed by young people in the area of crisis effects management. Bulgaria, being part of the 193 member countries in the Union, can nominate participants for the competition.

Candidates should be aged 18-30. The winner stands the chance to win 10 000 USD for the implementation of their project as well as to present it during the World Telecom in Doha in December 2014.

Technological proposals aimed at effective rescue during disasters that do not require significant financial resources and are accessible for people subject to natural disasters are to be presented.

The deadline for submission of proposals is 31 July 2014.
