Young Bulgarian entrepreneurs in the field of information technology at the age between 18 and 30 may enter a competition of the International Telecommunications Union and the Institute of Electrical Engineers and engineers in New York with their projects. The competition is part of the initiative of the Union to support young innovators, which runs from 2011.
The aim of the competition is to find the best ideas for new businesses and innovations related to the use of Internet to improve people’s life around the world. The projects must be related to economics, agriculture, water resources management, transport, forecasting potential viral focus or disease.
The competition is open for young people from all 193 member-states of the International Telecommunication Union. The winners will be invited to The World Telecom exhibition 2014, which will be held in Doha in December this year. There they will be able to share their innovative ideas and will be able to participate in workshops on entrepreneurial skills.
The prize fund is funding of ideas and it will be allocated for the establishment and the development of start-ups. Ideas will be accepted until November 3, 2014
