The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications (MTITC) as an institutional partner to the European version of the Global Forum on Internet Governance is selecting proposals on topics of the event. The agenda will be set in January after online voting.
The European dialogue on Internet governance (EuroDIG) will be held on 4 - 5 June 2015 in Sofia. Traditionally the event is promoted as an open platform, whose program is created by the participants. Anyone can join the preparation and the meeting by proposing topics related to the latest issues of the Internet.
In recent years different European countries have hosted EuroDIG. The event aims at stimulating national debates as an integral part of the European dialogue on the topic of Internet. Governments, research institutes, academia, media, business and civil society participate in the discussions. The Council of Europe and the 47 member states have a central role as human rights are in the basis of free and open Internet.
Established in 2008 so far EuroDIG has had seven editions - Strasbourg 2008, Geneva 2009, Madrid 2010, Belgrade 2011, Stockholm 2012, Lisbon 2013, Berlin 2014.
