Airports in Bulgaria are getting ever more attractive for new business partners and passengers, said the Deputy Minister of Transport, information Technology and Communications Anton Ginev at the official start of the regular Flydubai flights between Sofia and Dubai.

Since the beginning of this year Flydubay is the second airline to be welcomed at Sofia airport and the third regular line, said Deputy Minister Ginev. At the end of the year the revenues of the airport are to be 23 per cent higher than last year and the passengers will amount to 3.8 million. These are some good results that show a steady growth, added the Deputy Minister.

The opening of the new line to Dubai will result in an increase of the travels between the two countries, thus providing opportunities to the business and stimulating tourism.

Among the aims of MTITC’s team is to do their best to attract more airlines to the Bulgarian market. This will be beneficial both for the economy of the country and for the people using airborne transport.
