The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and communications Valery Borissov validated the first postal stamp to commemorate a political dissident. The product celebrates the 100th anniversary of the one of the most respected Bulgarians of the 20th century – Peter Uvaliev. The commissioning seal was laid together with the artist’s daughter – Mila Uvalieva.

The postal product consists of a stamp, which is in circulation of 11 000 copies and a special seal. The artist of the item is Todor Angeliev.

The validation ceremony was part of the program to celebrate the anniversary of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. The event was attended by the Deputy President margarita Popova, the Rector of Alma mater Prof. Ivan Ilchev and representatives of academia.
