Large size

Licensed Swiss specialists will investigate the causes for the emergency landing of the government’s Falcon aircraft, said the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski at an emergency meeting on the technical problem that occurred during the take-off.

Preliminary data show that shortly after the take-off of the aircraft there was a technical problem that prevented the left gear of the machine. The on-board staff informed Prime Minister Boiko Borissov of the problem and started taxing so as to exhaust some of the fuel and inspect the condition of all the gears. Minister Ivaylo Moskovski underlined that following the mandatory procedure regular landing was permitted, not an emergency one.

Minister Moskovski added that necessary measure had been undertaken by all the concerned authorities. The aircraft is sealed and guarded and tomorrow upon the arrival of the Swiss team, they will draft all the reports on the causes for the accident.
