The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov presented the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” with an award for IT project of 2014 in the public sector. The university won the competition with a project for increase of capacity of academic staff in the pedagogical majors in drafting, conducting and providing quality electronic remote tutoring.

The IT Project of the Year competition is being organized for 11th year in a row by Computerworld Bulgaria newspaper. In the public sector, the second awards goes to a project on the deployment of geographic information systems for port infrastructure management by Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure company, financed with EU funds under Operational Program Transport 2007-2013, Technical Assistance priority axis.
