All the preliminary studies that we made show that Vidin is a suitable place for constructing an intermodal terminal, said the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski during his visit in town.
Minister Moskovski commented that two or three versions of the project will be designed and ways for the terminal to function on its own or as part of a larger project in the industrial area will be sought.
I would like us to have a terminal where transportations can be combined between the rail, water, air and land transport. I am convinced that this will be a step towards investments in the region, added the Minister.
Minister Moskovski announced that the concession of Port terminal Vidin-Center is under preparation and it will be implemented jointly with the municipality.
During today’s visit to Vidin the Transport Minister attended the ceremony of the commissioning of the new specialized cutter for monitoring of the river bed of Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure company.
