The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski, together with the mayor of Shabla Municipality and the General Director of Bulgarian Port Infrastructure Company marked the start of the rehabilitation of the overpass in Shabla.
"Since the last mandate, we have identified the overpass in Shabla as a priority project and today after the measures taken by the government to transfer the site to SE "Port Infrastructure", there are already secured funding for its rehabilitation" said Ivaylo Moskovski during the event. The Minister also announced that the overpass is an extremely important facility for the country because its endpoint defines the border of the country. According to him, the project will be part of the investment program of the Bulgarian Port Infrastructure Company and after completion of the rehabilitation, measures will be taken to change its status to a port facility. "It is extremely important, as well as the rehabilitation, to provide and continue the maintenance of the overpass”, he added.
Project "Engineering for rehabilitation of the port facility at Cape Shabla - Marine overpass with island landing" is assigned by Bulgarian Port Infrastructure Company and the contractor is Consortium "Marine Overpass Shabla." The signed contract includes the design, construction and supervision and totaling 6,186,353 lev including VAT. The deadline for implementation of the project is January 2016. |
