I am convinced that the adoption of the Strategy for development of rail transport by the National Assembly and its implementation will restore the confidence in the national rail operator, said the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski during the presentation of the draft Strategy and Plan for recovery and development of BDZ for the period 2015-2022.
Minister Moskovski said that joint and targeted actions of the railway operator and the infrastructure manager will convey a positive message to all partners and will ensure sustainability of the Bulgarian railway sector.
The draft Strategy and Plan for recovery will be tabled tomorrow in the Committee on Transport, Information Technology and Communications in the National Assembly for a more detailed discussion on particular elements of it, said Minister Moskovski.
The document will be presented today before the trade union partners, so they can get acquainted with the text. Within a month, all interested parties will participate in a public hearing of the draft Strategy for development of railway transport and the Plan for recovery of BDZ for the period 2015-2022.
This Strategy showed us that we are going in the right direction as the document was realised thanks to the consensus of the members of the Transport Committee in the Parliament, added Minister Moskovski.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Committee on Transport, Information Technology and Communications at the National Assembly, Grozdan Karadjov, its Vice-Presidents Kamen Kostadinov and Petar Petrov, and some members of the Commission - George Svilenski, Stanislav Ivanov and Claudia Gancheva, as well as the Director General of National Company Railway Infrastructure, eng. Milcho Lambrev, the Executive Director of "Holding BDZ", Vladimir Vladimirov and the Executive Director of Executive Agency "Railway Administration", Veselin Vasilev. |
