The Deputy Minister of Transport, information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov opened a philatelic exhibition entitled “Pets” in Hall 2 at the Central Post Office in 6, Gurko Str. in Sofia. The topic of the philatelic festival is a sign of the good and friendly attitude towards animals, said at the event Deputy Minister Borissov.
The organizers of the philatelic exhibition are the Union of the Bulgarian Philatelists and Bulgarian Posts EAD. The exhibition contains the exhibits of Bulgarian collectors. The event is open until the 5 May 2015. Within the exhibition a topical exhibit – “To the horses with love”, was presented. It has been created by Tsvetelina Kostadinova. The collection has been awarded at European and global exhibitions. The exhibit will represent Bulgaria at the world philatelic exhibition “New York” 2016. “Butterflies – harmony of beauty” is the philatelic collection of the 17-year old student from Plovdiv Emilia Stefanova. The exhibition also presents the collection of the longstanding director of Sofia Zoo – MD Ivan Ivanov, which is dedicated to the topic of pets. Nikola Nikolov from Sofia is participating with the collection “Animals” imprinted not on post stamps but rather on match boxes from all over the world.
The beginning of the philatelic event was marked with the validation of a new postal stamp entitled “Animals”. The stamp is in circulation of 3100 copies, and the artist is Viktor Paunov. |
