The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov awards the winners in the children drawing competition "Technologies that link me to the world". The initiative is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the International Telecommunication Union and 135 years of membership of the Republic of Bulgaria in it. The topic inspired 145 children from 42 schools in the country to send in their works.
The best drawings were selected by the artists from a Specialized Expert Council on Postage Stamp Issuing. The winners are Kaloyan Hadjistoychev, aged 7 from Sliven, Ivailo Petrov, aged 11 from Popovo, and Kalina Iankova, aged 13 from Targovishte.
The works of all participants are arranged in an exhibition at the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications from 1 to 5 June. Each child will receive a collector's postal-philatelic product and a congratulatory letter by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski.
"1st June is the day when we as adults should listen to children", he said Deputy Minister Borissov during the ceremony. In his words, the paintings bear the message that technology can connect people. This gives us confidence that our children know how to live in the digital world, said the Deputy Minister.
