Information Services Plc and the municipal administration of Veliko Tarnovo signed Memorandum "e-Governance - E-region regional initiative". The aim of the initiative is to develop complex administrative services and e-government, both in the region and in support of centralized solutions at state level. The document is open for accession by other administrations and organizations that provide public services.
The Memorandum provides for the establishment of an e-Governance Regional Council and a Center for complex administrative services "e-region Veliko Tarnovo", which will provide citizens and businesses with electronic services.
The Regional Council will support the reorganization of interagency information processes and the use of modern information technologies for administrative services as well as to reduce red tape for citizens and businesses. The Council will support the opening and use of public data and the presentation of technological opportunities for participation of citizens and associations in the governance of both the region and the country.
