The results in the field of information technology are more than three times better following the training of civil servants from the central administration, which was conducted within a project of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications (MTITC). This was reported at the closing conference of the project "Improvement of the qualification of the employees of the central administration by improving the knowledge and practical skills to manage IT software projects in accordance with modern methodologies" № K13-22-1 / 03.05.2014, which is implemented with the financial support of OPAC, co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.
Only the knowledgeable and competent administration may be useful to citizens and businesses, said in his address to the participants in the event the MTITC Secretary General Ivan Markov. In his words, the test results before and after the courses show the need for IT training. "At the initial test trainees were able to correctly answer half of the questions, which is equal to grade 4 or 4.50. At the final exam all trainees excelled and their results exceeded 86%. It's a really impressive success", said Ivan Markov.
For years, the lack of specialized training and a shortage of trained staff have been among the main obstacles to the accelerated development and delivery of electronic services, said MTITC Secretary General. He added that in order to overcome the shortage of trained specialists, the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications conducted the largest training of officials who are in charge of e-government systems in the administration.
The training was conducted from February 16, 2015 until June 19, 2015. A total of 359 employees of the central administration acquired knowledge and skills necessary for the transition to digital and electronic administrative services. The following courses were conducted:
