Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov addressed the electronic forum of experts involved in e-government to discuss one of the priorities of the Bulgarian presidency of the European Union.
According to the established practice, the country holding the Presidency, announces one or several priority themes. Bulgaria will take over the Presidency from Estonia, which has chosen a focus on the achievements in the field of e-governance.
The proposal to define "Digital technologies, ICT and e-government" as one of the priorities of the Bulgarian presidency was presented to Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Kuneva and her staff, responsible for the preparation of Bulgaria for the upcoming event. In his letter, Deputy Minister Valery Borissov specified that it was necessary to set out specific activities that are useful not only for us, the Bulgarians, but also for the other EU residents.
With the address of MTITC to the forum of the experts in e-government, as a generator of ideas, is opened a public debate on this topic. Proposals received will be presented to Deputy Prime Minister Kuneva at the end of September. |
