The Seventh edition of the International Cartoon Festival for Mail Art (Mail Art) and Humorous Drawing - Smile Art Fest, starts on August 19, 2016 under the patronage of the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski.
Organizer of the Smile Art Fest is "Imeon-Balkans". This year the theme of the event is "Destination Balkans - Destination Bulgaria".
Over a hundred cartoonists and artists, drawing humor, from all continents have sent more than 600 cartoon and humoros drawings, among them dozens of projects of mail art. Exhibitions of works from Smile Art Fest will be displayed by the end of the year in five Bulgarian cities - Bourgas, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Rousse and Sofia. The winners of the competition program of the fest will be selected by an international jury in September.
The opening will be on 19 August at 07:00 pm in Bourgas, in "Georgi Baev" Art Gallery. Works from the "smile" art fest are exposed also in the Cultural Center "Sea Casino" and the Balustrade of the Sea Garden. |
