Hoist of the Flag Ceremony on the New Cutter “Burgas” Will Take Place Tomorrow

Tomorrow, April 20, 2006, hoist of the flag official ceremony on the new cutter “Burgas” will take place in the town of Burgas. The delivery means for the new cutter were given from the Minister Council budget, in connection with the European Union integration. The cutter has been made in Holland, with final equipment completed in Bulgaria. The cutter possesses the most modern navigation tools and gathers speed above 32 knots, in operational area of 60 sea miles. Its functions include control, patrol, and rescue operations. Several cuter will be delivered in addition, for the needs of the Executive Agency “Maritime Administration” which will undoubtedly strengthen the good technical security, as well the fulfillment of the Agency obligations, regarding the European Union requirements.
