Minister Mutafchiev received the First E-Railway Ticket, Emitted by ITA “Rila”

The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev received the first e-railway ticket for the route Sofia-Brussels-Sofia, emitted by the International Traveling Agency “Rila”. The event took place today, during the official presentation of the new tour-operator services of the agency, which include marketing of mobile carriers tickets, booking of airplane tickets, as well an electronic release of railway tickets for international travel. In this way “BDZ” Ltd widens its activities towards its customers, as ITA “Rila” part of our railway structure is.

The Director of ITA “Rila” Neli Kardjilova” gave to Minister Mutafchiev also a ticket for the destination Sofia-Berlin-Sofia, so that Minister Mutafchiev could follow the Football world Championship on the spot. Minister Mutafchiev will grant his ticket to a Bulgarian Sport-Journalist, selected trough a lot.

The Unit for Information systems and technologies of “BDZ” Ltd developed together with specialists from Directorate “Passengers Transportation” and ITA “Rila”, informational and ticket system, which gives the possibility, for a first time in Bulgaria, e-tickets to be emitted, in accordance with the EU standards RCT2. The system will be put in operation by stages till the end of 2006 in all 15 offices of the agency, so that the whole territory of the country will be covered. The system will be developed further in its part “Reservation” after a connection with the information systems of the European railways has been established.

In this way ITA “Rila” becomes a modern agency, serving the clients in accordance with the best European practices, which facilitate the free moving of people on the territory of the country, as well in the entire Europe.
