Limited Tender for the Service – “Technical Support for Modernization of the Railway Line Vidin – Sofia” Started Today

Directorate “Coordination of Programs and Projects”, which is the Executive agency on the ISPA program in the Ministry of Transport, announces limited tender procedure on the project “Technical Support for Modernization of the Railway Line Vidin – Sofia” with a referent number EuropeAid/123477/D/SER/BG. The applications for Tender participation are to be found at the electronic address of the European Commission: http://europa.eu.int/comm/europeaid/index_en.htm. The Forms shall be given in the Ministry of Transport, Directorate “Coordination of Programs and Projects”, room 1205. The dead line is January 15, 2007, 16 o’clock.

The technical support includes the accomplishment of the following tasks and activities:

1. Preparation of a preliminary-investment examination and a review of the modernization possibilities: search prognosis and traffic analysis, identification and valuation of the potential improvement scenario, selection of a preferred scenario for modernization.
2. Detailed analysis and a preliminary project of a preferred modernization scenario, financial analysis – financial plan, report for evaluation of exploitation compatibility and accordance with the Directive for railway exploitation compatibility.
3. Preparation of a detailed program for modernization and an accomplishment strategy.

The financing of the project is being ensured by the ISPA program in amount of 85% from the total value and 15% Bulgarian co-financing. The maximal budget of the project is 3 800 000 euros.

The time for the accomplishment of the contract is 24 months.
