A New Section in the Transport Hospital Was Inaugurated Today

The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev and the Director of the National Transport Hospital "Tsar Boris III" Professor Doctor Georgi Edrev opened today dermatologic-venereal section, as well as otoneurological sector in the Transport Hospital. The event coincides with the professional feast of the health workers. The financial means were ensured by the Ministry of Transport, as well as from donations from transport firms and nongovernmental organizations. On behalf of the Minister of Health, a greeting was given by the Deputy Minister of Health - Doctor Emil Rainov.  

We would like to remind you that minister Mutafchiev opened a mammography room in the hospital in the last year.

The hospital has specific functions regarding the medico-professional expertise of the transport workers. Its medical activity is directly connected with the secondary expertise, after the accomplishment of the curative process.

In the years of the reform in the field of heath the hospital demonstrate itself as a hospital with a national importance in the system of transport. For non-paid medical examination, as well as for stationary treatment the following employees are being received:

  • Employees from all sectors of the system of the Ministry of Transport with more than 50% state share;
  • Retired employees from the above mentioned sections with talon from the GP or DCC specialist;
  • The employees of firms which has a contract for medical service with the hospital "Tsar Boris III";
  • Employees from the Transport Hospitals in Plovdiv, Varna, Gorna Oriahovitsa, and Transport-DCC Stara Zagora, Ruse and Burgas;
  • The hospital employees and their families.
