The "Short List" of Companies on the Contract "Technical Support for Rehabilitation of the Railway Infrastructure on railway sectors along the Railway line Mezdra - Gorna Oriahovitsa" was approved. It was published today in the internet site of the EC http://ec.europa.eu/eropeaid/cgi/frame12.pl The participants in the procedure, included in the short list are: 1. INECO Ingenieria y Economia del Transporte, S.A. (INECO), Iberica de Estudios e Ingenieria, S.A. (IBERINSA), ILF Berantende Ingenieure ZT GMBH (ILF Consulting Engineers), "TRANSSYSTEM"Ltd., Geotechnoengineering Ltd. 2. Mott MacDonald Ltd. 3. Parsons Brinckerhoff Ltd., ST "TRAPS - Toma Yotsov", Transgeo Ltd. 4. Pöyry Infra GmbH 5. SYSTRA, SUDOP PRAHA, GETINSA, TRANS EL Engineering SP, VECTOR - BUL Ltd. 6. TRANSURB TECHNIRAIL SA, "EQUIP 2000 - Kotov & co" Partnership 7. WSP Europe AB, DE-Consult Deutsche Eisenbahn-Consulting GmbH The final day for the submission of the tender documents is June 18, 2007. All received offers will be evaluated, according to the regulations of the EU. The expectations are that the contract will be signed in September 2007. The range of the technical support includes the execution of the following main tasks and activities: The examination of the needs for railway infrastructure renovation, as well as exploration of the existing pre-investment investigations; Preparation of technical projects for rehabilitation of the declared as priority sectors and also for improvement of the signal and telecommunication equipment; Preparation of the tender documentation on future contracts for building, services and supplies. The time for accomplishment of the order is 15 months.
