Bulgaria Became Member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators

The Specialized Unit for Investigation of Aviation Incidents CZPAC to the Ministry of Transport of Bulgaria became a full member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators - ISASI. Till that moment, members of ISASI are organs and organizations for investigation of aviation incidents from America, Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa, as well as civil aviation administrations, professional organizations of pilots and ATC, producer of aviation technologies and equipment. Among the famous members of ISASA are: The national Transport Safety Board of The USA, The Federal Aviation Administration of the United States, NASA, the Civil Aviation Administration of Great Britain, Investigation Organs from the European Countries - Norway, Sweden, Swiss, Great Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, the Czech Republic and others. Member of the organization are aviation technology producers such as: Boeing, Airbus, ATR, General Electric, L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin, Learjet, Pratt& Whitney, Rolls-Royce, Sikorsky, Volvo Aero and others. The ASASI Membership procedure began in the beginning of this year and was completed in April 2007 with a membership certificate given to the Specialized Unit for Investigation of Aviation Incidents. The membership in ASASI will increase the safety culture of the civil aviation of Bulgaria and will give the Investigation Unit an immense amount of information, connected with the investigation of aviation incidents, the measures foreseen by the aviation techniques producer, the national aviation administrations and organs for aviation incidents investigation around the word, in order to strengthen the flights safety in the country and in the whole world. It will make possible the exchange of experience with the leading countries, in the field of the flight safety. In this way our country will have an access to the most modern technologies and procedures, designed to increase the flight safety, which are part of the manufacture, exploitation and the service of aviation technics, of the leading world producers and operators.
