The First Project on Sectoral Operational Program “Transport” Started Today

The first project on Sectoral Operational Program “Transport” started today; this became clear during the discussion forum on the Theme “Sectoral Operational Program “Transport” 2007-2013 – Possibilities and Challenges”. The project for building of the metropolitan railway in the segment Mladost 1 – Drushba – Airport Sofia is the first, approved for accomplishing, after the entering into the European Union.
The forum was opened by the Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev. The head of the EC delegation in Bulgaria Michael Humphreys, the District governor of Sofia Todor Modev, representatives of diverse Ministries and non-governmental organizations participated in the event. Presentations were made by the Deputy Minister of Transport Vesela Gospodinova, The director of Directorate “Coordination of Programs and Projects” in the Ministry of Transport Nelly Yordanova, the Director-Executive of “Metropolitan” Ltd. Stoian Bratoev and the Head of the Agency “ESTAT” Ivailo Jelev.
