The Contract for Giving Port Terminal Oriahovo under Concession Will be Signed Tomorrow

The contract for giving of “Port Terminal Oriahovo” under concession will be signed tomorrow, July 4th, 2007, at 10 am in the Ministry of Transport. With resolution №343 from May 16, 2007 the Ministers Council appointed “Slanchev Dar” AD Varna as the candidate who won the competition for concessionaire of the port.
The terminal is part of the port for public transportation with national importance Lom and is Object – public state property. The time of the concession is 25 years.
The port terminal is meant for processing of freights and post, with two built wharf slots, as well as for servicing of passengers, with one quay built for that purpose. The whole territory of the object of the concession is 12 300 quadrate meter.
The competition procedure for the appointment of concessionaire for Port Terminal Oriahovo was announced on June 24, 2005. Their participation in the competition declared the companies “Slanchev Dar” AD, Varna and “G.E.K. S.A.” Athens, Greece.
