Bulgaria and Greece Will Sign Trans-Border Agreement in the Field of Railway Transport

The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev will visit tomorrow, Mart 11, 2009 the railway station in Haskovo at 14.30. He will be introduced there to the railway station investment program and the repair activities which are now been accomplished. On the next day Mart 12, 2009 the transport ministers of Bulgaria and Greece will sign trans-border agreement in the field of railway transport. Prior to that the both minister will have a meeting in Komotini - Greece. Foreseen are also plenary talks between two delegations. The both ministers Peter Mutafchiev and Evripidis Stylianidis will give then a press conference for mass media representatives. The signing of trans-border agreement will give the possibility for building of two common railway stations on the territory of Bulgaria and Greece. For the Border transition Kulata - Promahon the railway station Kulata has been selected and for the border transition Svilengrad - Dikeya the railway station in Dikeya. This will facilitate and accelerate the transition of passengers and freights between Bulgaria and Greece. Also the delays and the travel time across the border will be decreased.
