Aleksandar Tsvetkov Will Receive the Director-General of “Information Society and Media” of EC

  The European Commission Inspects the Advance of Bulgaria in the Field of Electronic Communications

Representatives of the EC DG "Information Society and Media" will come to Bulgaria in connection with the preparation of the 15th regular report regarding the condition of the electronic communications markets in the European Union. The Head of the Directorate Fabio Kolasanti will be actively involved in the inspection.

On September 24th the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Aleksandar Tsvetkov will receive Fabio Colasanti. Themes of the talks will be the strategies for electronic communications, the broadband access and the transition from analog to digital television, as well as the competitions for the frequencies for digital TV and radio broadcasting. Minister Tsvetkov will inform for the readiness of MTITC to offer legislative projects, which to apply the changes expected in the European Directives till the end of the year. Later on the same day talks with the Parliamentary Commission on Transport, Information Technology and Communications  are foreseen, as well as with the Commission on  Culture, Citizens Society and Media of the National Assembly, the Council for Electronic Media and BTC.

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Aleksandar Tsvetkov and the Director-General of "Information Society and Media" Fabio Colasanti will present the main positions and the results from the meeting on a press conference on September 25th.
