Deputy Minister Rusinov: Bulgaria Supports the Creation of eGovernment in the EU

Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Parvan Rusinov confirmed Bulgaria's support for the creation of eGovernment within the EU at the Ministerial eGovernment Conference that took place in Sweden, November 18-20.

 

The eGovenment is a way making the common market more effective. In this context, Bulgaria welcomed the renewed interest in cooperation between national administrations as well as exchange of best practices in the field between the member states.

 

In his statements, Parvan Rusinov highly praised the role of the eGovernment as a way to have a more effective public administration. The specific efforts in the area must be aimed at:  the improvement of work processes in the administration by the use of egovernance services, more focus on the business and the citizens, their participation in the decision-making process.

 

The Ministers responsible for eGovernment issues in the EU Member States approved a declaration with three main policy-making goals about the development of the public administration up until 2015. They are as follows: strengthening the opportunity for citizens and companies to use comprehensive public services; stimulating the mobility on the internal market by having eGovernment services and cooperation between the national public administrations; lowering the administrative burdens by 2015.
