Deputy Minister Parvan Rusinov Opened the SEETAC Project’s Third meeting

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Parvan Rusinov opened the Third meeting in the framework of the South-East Europe Transport Axis Cooperation Project. The forum took part on 27-28 April 2010 and was organized by the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, in cooperation with the Lead Project Partner – the Central European Initiative (CEI).
In his welcoming speech, Mr. Rusinov emphasized on the importance of the project implementation in order to achieve the European standards and requirements related to the integration of the European transport system. A substantial part in the process of achievement of the goals set in the project is the strong interrelationship and collaboration between the Ministries of transport of the states situated along the South-East Transport Axis, added he.
During the meeting, some technical issues related to the project were discussed. They concerned the establishment of an information data base system in the framework of the project and the ways for the collection of the relevant data. The elaborated till the present moment templates which should be used in the completing of the data base were shown and some main parameters of the provided data were specified. The time schedule of the future meetings and the next steps in that respect were discussed and clarified also.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Project partners – the Central European Initiative, INFORMEST, EURAC, Aristotle University, SEETO, as well as experts from the Ministries of Transport of Austria, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Albania and Serbia.
