Minister Tsvetkov validated a postage stamp devoted to the city of Gabrovo

01.04.2011

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Aleksandar Tsvetkov and the Mayor of Gabrovo, Nikolay Sirakov put into use a post-philatelic edition, devoted to the Day of the humour and the joke.

The most convivial day of the year is suitable to put into use the first postage stamp devoted to the unique capital of the laugh – Gabrovo, said during the ceremony Minister Tsvetkov. Few people know that furthermore Gabrovo is a planet, because before 35 years a Russian scientist discovered an asteroid and decided to name it with the name of the city.

A postage stamp illustrates the notorious sense of humour of the citizens of Gabrovo – the small planet is represented as a bean in the universe together with the other cosmic bodies. The post-philatelic edition is printed in 12 000 copies. The price is characteristic of Gabrovo – only 0.65 stotinki, added Aleksandar Tsvetkov.

Minister Tsvetkov presented a Certificate to Pleven – Administration and a Deed for active preparation for provision of electronic services that satisfy fully the legislation, to the city of Gabrovo.

The regional administration Pleven realized a project for better service of the citizens through an e-governance, commented the Minister. Gabrovo is the first municipality that made the first 14 e-services according to the law, that means that very soon here will be realized a real e-governance. Except Pleven and Gabrovo generally 12 regional and 74 municipal administrations will use the results of this project.

Minister Tsvetkov received from the hosts of Gabrovo an Order of the Knight of the Gabrovo cat and a t-shirt with the barcode of Gabrovo.
