The Holding Bulgarian State Railways has completed the first three months of 2011 with above 3,5 million levs growth of the earnings

Holding Bulgarian State Railways EAD has completed the first three months of 2011 with stabilized financial indicators and increase of the transported goods.
The information shows that the transportation of goods has increased compared to the same period last year, so the earnings have increased with 3,6 million levs. There is growth in the ferryboat transport too. For the first three months of 2011 a growth with 19 per cent of the transport at ferryboat complex Varna has been reported.
It is noticed a growth of travels with travel express in the direction of Sofia Vidin-Sofia, Sofia-Blagoevrgad and Sofia-Bourgas-Sofia.
Holding Bulgarian State Railways EAD has developed a technology for transport of lorries through railway transport. A time-table of the trains accomplishing compounded transport between the terminals Halkali (Turkey) – Dragoman (Bulgaria) has been developed. Meetings with the Turkish Railways had been carried out. There is contract with Turkish operator that will operate in Bulgarian and Turkish territory. It was announced an open procedure for hire of carriages.
