All Companies of the MT System Will Be Certified, According to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001

Sofia, December 20, 2005 With an order of the Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev a workgroup was approved to prepare the companies in the Ministry of Transport system, for certification, according to BDS EN ISO 9001:2000 and BDS EN ISO 14001. In this way, the competitiveness and the activity of the firms in the MT system will be improved. The workgroup will begin its activity in January 2006. The certification is a standard practice of the common European market. It will directly support the national strategy for strengthens and growth of the Bulgarian economic, as well as:
1. Increasing the inner effectiveness and control of the processes, services and production in each stage; 2. Reducing the risk and improvement of the management; 3. Effective following of the different activities normative regulations; 4. Forming a mutual trust in the potential investors or concessionaires. 5. Rising the firms value; 6. Effective integration of our firms with the requirements of the common European market during the future EU integration. The common market practice has already shown, that one of the basic mechanisms to improve the competitiveness of firms and organizations, as well as the implementing and following of the normative regulations, and also the market practice requirements is their act of certification toward the international standards for quality management and environment. Such actions have been undertaken since a long time from many private firms.
