European Commission praised the aviation security at airports in Varna and Burgas
11.08.2011
Airports in Varna and Burgas implement aviation security measures in full conformity with European and national requirements, concluded European Commission inspectors, who carried out monitoring of both sea airports.
Since the accession of Bulgaria to the Member State of the Union at the beginning of 2007 so far, the main European institutions in the field of aviation security - European Commission and European Civil Aviation Conference (ESAS) perform annual audits and inspections of our airport operators.
Inspections of this magnitude not only give an assessment of the level of industry employment, but also the aviation administration, which in turn has a duty to control and regulate the activity of airports, airlines and ground handling operators.
Positive results of this monitoring once demonstrated that systemic collaboration between industry and state leads to a high level of implementation of security measures in full conformity with European standards.
In turn, the Authority continually monitors the current status of national legislation in the field of aviation security. In this context, changes were made in the Civil Aviation Act, which was developed legal framework and have clearly defined rights and responsibilities of all entities involved in aviation. |
