Funding Agreed with Norway for Projects in E-government

Communications Minister Ivaylo Moskovski paid a working visit to Norway on May, 3 and 4 during which he agreed funding for projects for e-government and innovations under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian program for cooperation, economic growth and sustainable development. The specific amount of funding will depend on the Bulgarian side proposed projects.
With a decree № 268 of The Council of Ministers from 26.09.2011, Council for E-governance, chaired by the Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has been established. Vice-Chairmen of the Council are the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Simeon Djankov ; the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Tsvetan Tsvetanov; the Minister of Transport, IT and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski; and the Minister of European Funds, Tomislav Donchev. The Council coordinates the activities and measures for the introduction and development of e-Government. Deputy Minister Valery Borissov is charged personally by the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to carry out activities in fulfillment of e-Government.
Specific terms, indicative budgets for projects and persons responsible for them are spelled out in the Roadmap to E-government Strategy. The document is under active discussion with the Ministry of Finance and other relevant institutions. It is expected the key documents to be completed by mid-June. |
